As the charge current tapers down, the ammeter needle will also move down. The charge current will gradually taper down as the battery approaches full charge. When a fully discharged battery is connected to the charger, the ammeter will read the maximum output rat- ing of the charger, either 2 AMPS or 6 AMPS, depending on the AMP selection. You must keep a visual check on the ammeter to determine when the battery is charged.ДЄMMETER (See FIGURE 4 & 5) The ammeter gives a reading of the AMP draw by the battery from the charger.

A Manual charger will continue to charge and will not shut off. This is a manual (non-automatic) battery charger. WARNING: Overcharging will damage the battery. WARNING: This charger will continue to charge even after the battery is charged. NOTE: It is important to determine the battery type before charg- ing. The smaller the battery the greater the risk of harm- ing it by using the 6 amp charge rate. For batteries rated 28 ampere hours and less, use the 2 amp charge rate.

You may use either the 2 or 6 amp charge rate on large batteries. For 6 volt batteries, only the 6 amp rate is available.
